Not every job needs a container for two weeks. Some need it for three days, and paying for three weeks makes no sense. Roll-off containers take that pile off the property in one collection instead of a dozen trips.
Short jobs, short rentals
A single room strip-out, a garage clear-out or a yard cleanup is a one to three day job for most people. The container is full quickly and then it is just sitting there.
Short rentals suit jobs where the work is already planned and the crew is lined up. You know when it starts, you know roughly when it finishes, and nothing is waiting on a trade.
Say the length you actually want when you book. It is easier to extend a short rental than to sit with a full container you no longer need.
What goes in the container
- Single room strip-outs
- Garage and shed clear-outs
- Yard waste and hedge clearance
- Old furniture and mattresses
- General household junk
Not everything can go in. Anything flammable is out, and so are paint, solvents, oils, chemicals, batteries, tires and asbestos. Those are governed by federal and state rules and need their own disposal route. The EPA guidance on household hazardous waste sets out which materials count.
Choosing a size
The choice is between three. The 20 yard at 16ft by 7.5ft by 6ft with 2 ton is where most jobs land. Below it, the 15 yard is 48in high with 1 ton. Above it, the 30 yard runs 20ft long with 3 ton.
The included tonnage is the number to watch. Bulky, light material fills the space and never troubles the weight. Heavy material does the opposite, and anything over the allowance is charged per ton.
Getting to us from Jeffries Elementary School
The yard is at 2211 W Division St on the north-west side of the city, 7.5 miles from Jeffries Elementary School and about 16 minutes in normal traffic. Head out on South Scenic Avenue, then West Chesterfield Boulevard, then South Kansas Expressway, then turn onto West Division Street.
None of that drive is yours to make. The truck brings the container out and takes it away again when you say so. The distance is worth knowing only because it tells you the yard is genuinely local.
Frequently Asked Questions
How short can a rental be?
A few days is normal. Tell us the window you want and we will plan the drop and the collection around it.
Can I extend if the job runs over?
Yes. Tell us and the period extends rather than needing a fresh booking.
Is a short rental cheaper?
Rates are quoted per job rather than from a table. Give us the length and the contents and we will quote it properly.
What size for a one-room job?
A 15 yard covers most single rooms. If it is a whole floor, step up to the 20.
